Information System for Organic Waste Management as Maggot Feed (Hermetia Illucens)

Traditional waste management systems that rely on landfills cause environmental pollution and waste valuable economic potential. This study developed a web-based information system for managing organic waste as maggot (Hermetia illucens) feed using the Prototyping methodology. The system, built with Vue.js 3, Firebase Authentication, and Cloud Firestore, enables real-time data recording, GPS-based scheduling, and monitoring of Bioconversion Efficiency (BE). Implementation results show improved operational efficiency and data accuracy by up to 90%, with BE reaching 40% (excellent category). Blackbox testing confirmed full feature functionality, while the System Usability Scale (SUS) test achieved an average score of 84.5 (Excellent Usability). The system effectively supports efficient and transparent organic waste management while promoting a community-based circular economy.
