The palm oil industry plays a significant role in the global economy, including Indonesia. Optimal seed selection is key to the productivity of plantations. In South Sumatra, PT. Pinang Witmas Sejati addresses this challenge through a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Preference Selection Index (PSI) method for palm oil seed selection. This DSS facilitates the collection, organization, and analysis of data regarding seed quality and plantation conditions. By utilizing PSI, the DSS provides recommendations for seeds with optimal growth, disease resistance, and high yield. This research has successfully resulted in the implementation of a PSI-based Decision Support System. The outcomes reveal that Dura seeds aged 10-12 months occupy the top rank based on PSI scores. The strengths of these seeds include their plant height, sufficient frond count, proportional stem diameter, and strong resistance to pests. These findings offer valuable guidance to the palm oil industry in selecting potential seeds.
