Prototype of LPG Gas Leak Detection Tool Using NODEMCU ESP8266

Abstract

Limited natural resources make humans use gas fuel. However, this gas fuel has a negative effect, namely frequent fires caused by gas explosions.

In general, fires often occur in people's homes due to LPG gas explosions that cannot be anticipated properly. Therefore, to anticipate this, a tool is needed that can detect gas leaks, so that explosions caused by gas leaks can be anticipated immediately so that the fire does not spread.

The gas leak detector that will be made can detect gas leaks and provide information if a gas leak occurs. The gas leak detector uses the MQ 2 sensor and the ESP8266 Wifi Module, LCD and buzzer, fan and fire sensor as notifications, is able to detect if a gas leak occurs and provides information to the owner so that fires can be anticipated as early as possible. The information generated from this tool is in the form of an alarm sound and a message sent via telegram which is sent to the owner when a gas leak has been detected, so that fires due to gas explosions can be handled properly.
